 MVQG  Guild Calendar

Charity "Tie Day":

Meets on the 2nd Thursday from 9 A.M. - 3 P.M. at the Butterworth Center Garage, Moline, IL. Members piece, tie and bind quilts to donate to area non-profit organizations. Come when you can and leave when you must.  

In 2003 MVQG has donated 1,216 Quilts to organizations and individuals in the Quad Cities area, broken down as follows:

1000 Doll Quilts

Community Education

MVQG's Community Education Committee participates in community events, to promote interest in quilting.  Members bring along their "ufo's", or hand quilt on the latest charity quilt. We always draw a crowd around the quilting frame.

Mississippi Valley Quilters Guild 2004

The Mississippi Valley Quilters Guild was organized in 1983, combining two guilds along the Mississippi River.  We have around 350 members, living within a fifty mile radius of the Quad-Cities.  Membership is open to anyone interested in quilting.

Dues:  $25 per year (September through August); Student membership, $12.50.

Meetings:  First Tuesday of each month at 1 P.M. and 7 P.M., at the First Congregational Church, 2201 Seventh Avenue, Moline, IL.   Guests are always welcome!   A $5 fee is charged to guest at meetings with featured speakers.
